Lily BeanI became a doula after the birth of my third child in 2021. My previous two were born without a birth support person and the experiences I had reflect that. With my first two births I felt out of control, taken advantage of, and quite frankly disappointed. I chose a support person for my third birth and the transformation I had as a mother and birthing woman immediately propelled me into becoming a doula myself. I received training through Childbirth International and completed a doula mentorship as well.
My passion is helping women experience what birth is and feeling empowered throughout their entire pregnancy and birth. It is extremely important to me that expecting parents feel heard and protected during such an intimate time in their life. Becoming new parents is transformative! My goal is to make you calm and confident during your prenatal period and to bring that calm and confidence into the delivery room. I love being able to support parents in ways that allow them to focus inwardly on body and baby without having to worry about what is going on around them. Each birth I support only makes my passion for being a doula grow. My husband and I live in Butler with our three boys - Fisher, Fenwick, and Oxford. We usually spend our time outside kayaking, hunting, and homeschooling. |
