Brandi Bogan, mcd, mcpd, MCEBirth work is my God-given calling. Everything rewarding and meaningful about my life is the result of countless women who advocated for me while also teaching me to advocate for myself. I bring this same approach to my work as a Birth and Postpartum Doula.
Pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period have the duality of being some of the most vulnerable yet heroic times in a mother’s life. I consider it my privilege to be in a calling that allows me to support and advocate for the desires of her and her family during such a pivotal time. I have Albinism, a genetic condition that means my body doesn’t produce Melanin. This affects my skin, hair and eyes, so in turn I’m legally blind which makes being in the sun hard for me. Yet, I lead a full life defiant of the limitations people placed on me early in life. I travel independently. I serve as a Deaconess in my church. I’m a former competitive Olympic Weightlifter - winning multiple regional, national and intercontinental championships. Fitness remains a passion of mine along with many other hobbies I rotate between. As a Doula, clients have commonly noted my ability to make them feel heard and supported throughout our time together. Whether you already know what you want, or are still figuring it out, you’re already off to a great start by exploring a Birth Doula to support your goals. If you’re looking for someone who is confident, undeterred, and tenacious in her advocacy for you and your family, I’m confident I would represent you well. I look forward to working together! |
