As the mother to two kids, I know life can be intense, unpredictable, and messy, but beyond wonderful. My entrance to motherhood followed suit perfectly. I was excited yet naïve, blindly jumping into an experience I knew nothing about. As much as I treasure my experience, I do feel it could have been more.
Birth is a pivotal point in a person's life. It is powerful. Bringing life into this world is no small feat and that moment needs to be lifted up, supported, encouraged, and protected.
As a doula, it is so important to me to do these things for my clients. Besides offering childbirth education and information, I try to protect the birth experience and give you and your partner the space you need to fully experience labor and childbirth. I work to empower you to speak up for yourselves and your child. I direct your choices back to you because, in the end, this experience belongs to you.
I love what I do and I have a family that supports me in my passion! I live in Point Breeze with my husband and two boys. I have been supporting families with Birth Doulas of Pittsburgh since 2009.
