Kathy McGrath is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, a Fellow in the American College of Childbirth Educators, a DONA-Certified Doula and birth counselor (MSW). She is on the Faculty and Certification Council of Lamaze International, is a Birth Doula Trainer for DONA International (formerly Doulas of North America), and is on the board of directors on PATTCh (Prevention and Treatment of Trauma after Childbirth). She was the winner of the prestigious Elizabeth Bing Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Childbirth Education in 2006.
Kathy's Birth Doula Workshops are held semi-annually and are for anyone interested in assisting women and their families to have satisfying birth experiences. It is designed to help participants in becoming doulas, or professional labor support providers. This Birth Doula Workshop has been approved as a step toward certification with DONA International.
