Anea MichelleThere is something incredibly powerful about being supported during life’s biggest transitions. I came to birth work through a deep love for community care, mindfulness, and creating spaces where people feel safe enough to fully be themselves. For over a decade, I have had the honor of supporting birthing people and families through pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and the emotional transformations that come with bringing new life into the world.
I began my doula training in 2014, and since then my work has continued to grow alongside the families and communities I serve. As a full spectrum doula, I believe support should feel grounding, compassionate, and personalized. Every birth is different, and every family deserves care that honors their voice, choices, culture, and lived experiences. My approach combines practical education with holistic support. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and hold certifications in trauma-informed yoga, prenatal and postnatal yoga, sound healing, and lactation support. I also hold a master’s degree in creative writing, which has shaped the reflective and intentional way I connect with others and hold space during vulnerable moments. Outside of birth work, I am passionate about mindfulness, healing through creativity, and building stronger community connections. I believe care can look like many things; a reassuring hand during labor, a grounding breath, a warm meal after birth, a moment of laughter, or simply having someone beside you reminding you that you are not alone. Supporting families during this season of life is work I hold close to my heart, and it is always a privilege to walk alongside people as they grow into new versions of themselves through birth and parenthood. |
