Thinking back on my own birth experience, I knew that there wasn’t much I could control but I could choose the type of care I received and who would be there when I welcomed my daughter into the world.
I wanted personal, supportive and women-centered care and this desire lead me to include a doula as part of my birth team. Her support during pregnancy, labor and postpartum helped me adjust to the demands of new motherhood and solidified my passion for birth work. After my own birth experience, I knew that I wanted to offer this kind of care and support to other women/birthing people.
I am currently working on my certification through DONA International. My role, as your doula, is to support your vision for your ideal birth — whether that’s in a hospital, birth center or at home. I am committed to showing up for you with love, physical & emotional support and evidence-based information.
I live in East Pittsburgh with my husband, daughter and little dog Tiger. Outside of family and work, I enjoy riding my bike, listening to music & podcasts, mending/sewing and museum hopping!
