My name is Heather Waters and I am the mother of of two wonderful boys. My older son was born in March of 2012, which was just nine short months after I married my husband, and my younger son was born in October of 2014. When we have free time, we are still always on the go. I like to keep a busy and active life style. I really enjoy geocaching and hiking with my family, and when I have some personal time I love to run, draw and airbrush.
I received my degree in Visual Communications in 2014 and currently work as the Assistant Studio Manager in a portrait studio. My job is amazing and allows me the flexibility to be a doula.
After having a doula with my second child, I became interested in what a doula does. Childbirth was always very interesting to me, and having a doula was such a positive experience that I wanted to be able to do the same for other women. I really want to make sure the women I support have a positive experience when giving birth to their baby. Giving birth is a very memorable life milestone and I want to aid women in feeling supported, empowered and educated. I am also there to support the partner to make sure they are as involved as they want to be, while making sure the partner is also taking care of themselves.
After attending births, I feel a very strong sense of purpose. Being able to be a part of such a monumental experience and help families grow is very rewarding experience.
